Social Studies/History (Lower Middle School)

Killian Venman is an educator, musician, writer, director, and multimedia artist. While pursuing his degrees, Killian focused his areas of study on music, history, and education. He is the author of In Studying Outside the Beat (forthcoming 2022), a book chronicling his research into avant-garde and experimental art; The Sadtacos Recipe Book Volume One (self-published 2020); and five short films. While working toward his Master of Music Degree in Jazz Percussion from New York University, he established long-term working relationships with a number of illustrious musicians, such as the Brooklyn Ballet, for which he still serves as its First Chair Percussionist. From 2020 through late 2021, Killian taught over 5,000 private and small group music lessons in the southern New Hampshire area. Killian loves teaching and considers it a great honor to pass his knowledge on to his students. Killian’s current favorite band is Big Thief.
