Alison Pearson

Librarian

Alison (Ali) Pearson was born and raised in England, living there until 2014 when she relocated to Amherst, NH. She knew she wanted to teach from an early age and after completing her degree and working on a Girl Scout camp in the Adirondack Mountains, Ali returned to university to gain her teaching qualification. She gained experience with students, aged 7-11, in two primary schools while developing her abilities to organize curriculum areas across the school and manage a team. In 2008, she moved into special education, becoming a qualified teacher of the deaf and teaching small groups of deaf students aged 11-16. She went onto become the special needs coordinator for the school. Ali loves the outdoors and enjoys sea kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and travel. She also enjoys reading and jewelry making.
