The Academy (K-12)

We are now accepting applications for 2021-2022.

Due to limited class spaces in the 2021-2022 academic year, it is strongly recommended that applications be submitted ASAP. No application will be considered complete and ready for review until all elements are submitted and receipt is confirmed by a representative of the Admissions Committee. Applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis.

Admissions Application Process

2nd Nature Academy seeks students whose strong desire to learn and ability to think creatively suggests they will thrive in the school’s challenging, integrated academic environment. We expect students to actively contribute to the school and to the community. 2nd Nature Academy students and their families are expected to embrace the school’s mission statement and philosophy.

Academic readiness or achievement, social and behavioral maturity, and motivation will be considered. Available openings in a given class also influence the decisions of individual student selection. Preference is given to siblings of current students.

  3. Admissions Forms | Submit all application materials and fees:

  • Application form

  • Student essay (prompt in application form)

  • Academic records

    • Formal academic assessments (e.g. report cards)

    • IEP/504 documents, as applicable​

    • Disciplinary records, as applicable

  • Request 2 school admission recommendation forms (educators will submit to school directly)​

  • Pay application fee: $50

High School

(Grades 9-12)

Waitlist

If there are no current openings in an applicant's grade, accepted families may choose to be placed on a waitlist. Families on the waitlist will be contacted when a space becomes available.
