For the second year in a row, our school has managed the peculiar feat of asking for applications to join student government and receiving exactly enough to fill each position. The staff of The Newstonian would like to congratulate the following new and returning members of this year’s SNA Student Government:

Secretary: Brianna West
Lower School Representatives:
EK/K: Ainsley White
1/2 : Kendall Brown
3/4 : Johnathan Chiccino
Upper School Representatives:
5th Grade: Joe Andrew, Adrian Levesque
Middle School: Aela Ayer, Colton Stearns
High School: Rachael Hanlon, Olivia Lefebvre, Ryan Smith
These members will join Angus McGranahan and Mackenzie Wilkins – our President and Vice President respectively – in running the student government and in carrying out the work of finishing the school library and planning field trips and other fun events, like school dances, among other initiatives.
This Government has promised a lot; they will be planning two all-school field trips for instance. The Government has also vowed to finish the library in the Red Building, which will involve buying and building shelving and sorting through hundreds, if not thousands, of books.
These are not the only tasks the Government has on their plate, as they are also responsible for planning school dances, one each for Upper and Lower School. The new government will be sworn in on February 4th in an all-school ceremony.
The Student Government relies on your feedback to ensure they are doing their jobs well. If you have any concerns or suggestions, please reach out to the representative of your class.
