On Thursday, January 15th, 2026, the lower school held a dance organized by the SNA Student Government. To prepare for this event, they took inspiration from previous upper school dances, with the goal of providing a similar experience for the younger students. They wanted to create an event that felt fun, welcoming, and inclusive for every student.
To make sure everyone had a space where they felt comfortable, the organizers set up multiple activity areas. One half of the gym was the dance floor. In the other half of the gym, students could choose from coloring pages, puzzles, and card games, perfect for those who wanted to be part of the event without dancing the whole time. The art room was also open as a quiet calm down space for anyone who needed a break from the noise.
Admission was five dollars per student, with all earnings going toward future school events. Students were also invited to submit song requests ahead of time, which gave almost everybody an opportunity to enjoy a song they liked.
The dance was a major success, with an estimate of 90-95% of lower school students attending. Overall, the dance brought the community together and showed how thoughtful planning can create an experience that everyone enjoys.
