Every year, on November 11th, the students and staff at SNA honor our nation’s veterans. This year’s festivities were fun, educational, and interactive.

One of the many tributes that took place on this day was put on by Mrs. Coakley’s 5th grade class, The Atoms Family, who prepared an entire song and dance routine, replete with informative presentations about the different branches of the military and the men and women who serve. One notable moment in this presentation was when 5th grade student Jaana Iyer performed a stunning rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner on the violin.
Other fun activities included a realistic boot camp experience led by Coach Yanna Johansen which included teamwork, marching, and learning commands. Several classes also received visits from a number of veterans who were able to share their experiences with the students.
SNA is proud to honor and support all veterans, and we are extremely grateful for their service to our country. We are especially thankful to the veterans who are part of our school community for helping and supporting our school and taking the time to come and celebrate with us.
